Summary:
This paper is about the real-time implementation of an existing speech recognition system for Spanish. The large vocabulary involved (1, 000 words) imposes a high computational load. A Transputer based multiprocessor system is employed whose size and architecture are configured in order to provide the necessary processing speed.
